Surf and Turf
Because we are new to the blogging world, I have decided to go back to the beginning of the summer and start there. So for the coming weeks you will get a summer in review. Hopefully, I can get through all of our summer adventures before school starts. Our summer started out as all summer vacations should with a trip to the beach. We piled the kids and half of our home into our van and started the long 10 hour drive to California (note: this is just 10 days after we had just moved). The fact that I could even find our swimming suits was a miracle. But we arrived unscathed from the journey, and parked our behinds on the beach for a week. We vacationed with my sister Amber and her family. My mom and her husband Kim and his son Ryan, with a short visit from my sister-in-law Meg. There was boogie boarding, campfires, castle building, movie watching, and as you can see from the picture s'mores. And as a special treat for me and Byron we spent one night in San Diego shopping and going to a John Mayer concert. When the sun had baked us to the core we packed up again and came home refreshed and ready to start our summer.

I am so proud of you! I love these blog sites. I love knowing what is happening with all of you. I can't seem to get the hang of it yet, but I hold out hope for the future. It is my best entertainment. I feel like I'm in your living room looking at your scrapbooks. Looks like summer has been fun and eventful for you. I love you new home...and I can't wait to see more of your blogs.....Love you, Aunt Donna
Heather I love your new blog! We now have to get Emily on board. We'll have to put the pressure on her now. This is the best way for the family to keep in touch. I haven't seen Zach forever and I about died!! He is so old. We need to get together again soon and do dinner.
So fun to be a blogger. Glad I could be of assistance. And...I guess I'll forgive you for not calling me while on vacation in my hometown! Ha! Loved all the pictures of your cute family. So fun.
it was fun zac
